Fall Winter 13

Preview of Yasya Minochkina Fall Winter 2013-2014 collection was shown on Fashion Scout during London Fashion Week. It was appreciated and noticed by London College of Fashion’s Tony Glenville and journalist Hilary Alexander. The full collection debuted later on Mercedes-Benz Kiev Fashion Days by Style.com contributor Daria Shapovalova. The star of the new shoot is Ukrainian top model Alla Kostromicheva who worked with Yasya Minochkina in Fall Winter 2012-2013 season.
For this collection designer mixed classical feminity with sport theme. Dresses with ruffles are made of strict fabrics, hi tech velvet jackets look like runners’ bombers. Minochkina looks both in the past and in the future. She creates jumpsuits with checked print that remain of Scotland national costumes and velvet dresses with blue and wine color blocks that could be worn by sci fi movie heroes. Yasya follows the lingerie trend: there are dresses and jumpsuits that look like sleepwear. Designer pays attention to outwear. She proposes to wear velvet coats with 18th century feeling, capes with zips and more intelligent version of biker jacket. Color palette is close to Yasya’s signature style: she plays with black and grey, while using such deep and fresh colors as wine, bluebell and khaki.
Minochkina is focused on three main characteristics of her brand: it’s femine shapes, minimalism and hi technologies. She offers only fabrics of highest quality. It’s silk, velvet and textured wool. She creates wearable yet edgy tops, bottoms and dresses. Even Yasya’s eveningwear is comfortable: she offers long oversize dresses and jumpsuits.
